On Friday 21st November, a big crowd gathered to watch the search for the Ballarat Golf Club’s 2025 Longest Driver. Thirteen finalists stepped up to the tee, each given just 3 minutes to smash five balls as far as they could—while keeping them inside a 60-metre-wide grid for the shot to count. With Open Men’s and Women’s, Senior Men’s and Women’s, plus Junior Boys divisions, the excitement built quickly as every competitor chased that perfect drive.
The crowd was treated to everything from monster bombs to a few… let’s call them “character-building” shots, adding plenty of laughs and suspense. Congratulations to all our champions who claimed the title in their grade, and a huge thank you to every member who entered qualifying. It was a fantastic showcase of skill, nerves, and pure hitting power—well done to everyone involved.
